Final assembly

  • With all parts made, start sewing them together.
  • I always start with sorting all parts out and filling them. In this case, fill the body, the arms (lightly), the legs (lightly), the curl (lightly), tail (lightly) and ears (lightly).
  • Sew the ears to the top of the body
  • Sew the legs to the bottom of the body starting around round 21.
  • Sew the arms to the body between rows 16 and 22 so that they point to the face.
  • Roll up the tube for the tail and sew it to the back of the body. Try to position it so that cleffa can stand upright.
  • Roll up the rube for the curl and position it on top of the head, between the ears. First sew the roll itself shut and sew it then to the body. It can be quit hard to position it right, so keep trying different ways of folding it and sew it down tightly.
  • Cut the eyes out of black and white felt and glue them to the body, between rows 9 and 12. Cut out two cheeks and a mouth, place them between rounds 12 – 13.

Congratulations! Your Cleffa is finished!

Final assembly

 img_0312

With all parts made, start sewing them together.

  • Sew the opening of the body firmly shut.
  • Sew the opening of the feet shut by sewing the two sides of the opening together (make them flat). Sew them to the bottom of the body.
  • Sew the arms to the body. You can make them lean forward by sewing the back of the arms in the last crocheted row and the front of the arms in the row above that (7th rnd). That way the arms lean forward to the front of the body instead of pointing straight.
  • Flatten the ears and sew them on top of the body
  • Don’t fill the curl to firmly, that way you can curl it better. Take the tip and fold it back to more or less halfway the curl. Sew the tip in place there. Position the curl on the head and sew it on.
  • Sew the microphone to one of the arms

  • Cut out of felt: 2 black triangles for the ears (round the corners). 2 big white circles, 2 medium blue circles and 2 small white circles for the eyes.
  • Sew with black thread a smile on the body

For the placement of the parts and the shapes of the eyes: look at the reference pictures.

Your Jigglypuff is now finished!

#013 Weedle

ImageImageImageImage

So, I made another bug pokémon: Weedle!

He’s pretty easy, but has a lot of little parts (like all the pink feet) to put together!

I’m thinking of writing down some of my more complex patterns and selling them for like 4$ or something like that. Would you be interested? and which pokémon would you prefer for me to write down?

#137 Porygon (and something else)

Image

Image

I have thought a long time before i started with porygon. I still don’t know how to make him look more ‘edgy’ but he turned out all right! The pictures really don’t do him justice 😉

And then another little project i’ve been working on: A little version of my boyfriend and me with our music instruments! We play together in the band ‘second son sam’ (a link: https://www.facebook.com/SecondSonSam?ref=hl). I think we look super cute!

#122 Mr. Mime

#122 Mr. Mime

Tadaa!
How do you like my mr mime? I think he turned out really really good. and as far as i know it is the only one out there yet!

So, i made this little guy while i was on vacation, so i had limited yarn with me (that is why his one leg is just 2 rows shorter then the other one :p ) That night i was just thinking ‘mr miiiiime’ all the time 😉

I’m thinking of also writing down his pattern for free, but only if there are people interested in making him. So if I post the pattern here, would you make him then?

Recently i’ve been promoting my facebook page a lot (with results: already 242 likes!), but it would really mean a lot if i could reach the 400! still a lot to go, but with your help it has to be possible i think!
If you like Mr mime, please like my page: https://www.facebook.com/PokemonCrochetChallenge and share if possible!

#035 Clefairy

AfbeeldingAfbeeldingAfbeelding

Hello there!

A new weeks means a new pokemon and this week i have a super cute fairy one for you!

First i wanted to make little fingers at his hands, but they didn’t came our right so i just let is like it is now. I was never a fan of clefairy or jigglypuff to play with in the games but i like them a lot in the series (can’t you just hear them say ‘clefairy clefairy clefairy’ when you see them?).

This week i made a bunch of new orders to ship (including a gloom! yay!), and i’m so grateful for all the pokefans out there who like my pokemon so much they want one for themselves! I have to say that it is sometimes a bit stressful to make all this stuff while still have to study or coming home late from my lab (working for my thesis), but when i hear all the compliments or read the reviews about my pokemon it’s all worth it!

If you haven’t liked my facebook page yet, i don’t think i can convince you to like it now but here is the link once again anyways: https://www.facebook.com/PokemonCrochetChallenge?ref=hl

i will try and post the poliwhirl pattern this week 🙂

with a mini-shellder on its tail! i came up with the idea and thought it would be pretty funny :p
i’m very proud about his opened mouth because it was so hard to do! i think he should gain a few pounds to be a perfect size slowpoke but maybe he likes to work out 😉
